This vintage 1960s Hong Kong blouse and pants set is dramatic and gorgeous worn as an outfit, and offers a lot of possibilities for use as separates! The top is gently fitted with darts, but intended to stand away from the body somewhat. The short kimono sleeves have underarm gussets for ease. The shirt front wraps to close asymmetrically on the left with beautiful frog fasteners. The cropped satin pants are high waisted and pegged, narrowing a bit down the leg, ending with a curved notched bottom.
SIZE: Labeled L - the blouse is also tagged as a 36.

FABRIC/COLORS: The blouse is done in a silky smooth brocade - it is so well made, that I don't have access to a snip of fabric for a fiber burn test - it could be silk or rayon. The color is scarlet red, and the woven pattern features sinuous dragons and fire birds (phoenix) along with small flowers and Chinese motifs. The top is fully lined in lighter red acetate-type fabric. The pants are made from a heavier weight black satin.

CLOSURES: The top closes with four ornate red satin frogs, with a snap at the top of the neck. The pants have a pair of small black buttons at the waist and a sideseam metal zipper.
CONDITION: Two tiny dark marks on the front of the top, and a single thread pull about 4"" away. No other issues noted.
